What's the plan?

Our journey takes us to the captivating Catalan Coastal Range, where we'll explore the majestic Cadiretes massif, also known as the Ardenya massif. This remarkable mountain system is characterized by its distinctive oval shapes and rugged ridges, enveloped by a lush tapestry of cork oak forests that create an almost enchanting atmosphere.

The highlight of our expedition will be the ascent to the summit of Montclar. Although it stands at a modest 401 meters, this peak holds a special place in the hearts of hikers and nature enthusiasts. The Federació d'Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya (FEEC) has recognized Montclar as one of the 100 peaks of great interest—a testament to its significance. The reason for this acclaim becomes apparent as you reach the top: the panoramic vistas are simply breathtaking. From this vantage point, you'll be treated to sweeping views of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and charming coastal towns nestled along the shoreline, including Santa Cristina d'Aro, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, and Platja d'Aro.

As we traverse this natural granite temple, our adventure takes on an exciting dimension. The trail is peppered with a variety of equipped passages that add an element of thrill to our journey. You'll navigate sections secured by chains, test your balance on ropes, and even cross a heart-pumping Tibetan bridge! These features not only ensure our safety but also inject a dose of adrenaline into our hiking experience, making it truly unforgettable.
