🏔️ What better way to immerse yourself in the fantastic landscapes of Ordesa than to experience the adrenaline rush on the sensational Faja de las Flores and the Hunters' Trail to see the majestic Cola de Caballo waterfall? At the end of June, we're heading to Huesca to enjoy geological landscapes that boggle the mind. We'll discover the world of the great Pyrenean giants. An impressive spectacle of layers of limestone sediments, carved and shaped by millions of years of rivers that cross the entire mountain range. We'll see numerous refreshing waterfalls with emerald pools, amazing beech forests, glacial cirques, and wildlife in a protected environment - a national treasure. It will be a feast for the eyes in the Pyrenees!

Have you heard of Faja de las Flores?

It's time to smell the aroma of these flowers at an altitude of 2400 m and enjoy impressive views of Monte Perdido, Brecha de Rolando, and Taillon Peak. We'll climb up the vertical hooks of Cotatuero, leaving its canyon below our feet, to reach this stone ledge where vultures enjoy their freedom. Everything becomes more dramatic and impressive as we ascend. And everything that goes up must come down, so we'll descend through the Carriata cirque under the gaze of Tozal del Mallo, which, although only 2280 m high, impresses with its verticality. This enticing monolith greets you as you approach the Ordesa meadow, as if warning of the nature of Europe's highest limestone massifs. The Solarons hooks will help us overcome the elevation change before returning to the impressive black pine forest.

👣 DAY 3 (Sunday): Hunters' Trail • Faja Pelay • Cola de Caballo Waterfall

Distance: 19.8 km

Elevation gain: 770 m

One of the most famous routes in the Aragonese Pyrenees is the trail to the Cola de Caballo waterfall, which passes through the Soaso cascades. And since we like something unusual, we'll climb up the impressive Faja Pelay terrace, enjoying full panoramas of the entire valley.
