⛰ Aigüestortes is a true natural treasure and the only national park in Catalonia, stunning visitors with its unique beauty! This amazing corner of the Pyrenees captivates visitors with its incredible diversity of landscapes and majestic mountain panoramas. Here, you'll witness mountain peaks over 3000 meters high, reflected in the crystal-clear waters of numerous lakes. The park is literally interwoven with a complex network of rivers and water bodies — more than 200 lakes, like precious gems, adorn this mountain landscape, creating truly unique, breathtaking sceneries that will forever remain in your memory.

Our exciting journey will follow one of the most popular and thrilling routes — the legendary Carros de Foc. This unique path will allow us to fully experience the beauty and power of wild nature, passing through picturesque mountain gorges and observing rapid waterfalls cascading from dizzying heights. Each step on this route will reveal new, breathtaking views before us.

⛰ Our unforgettable adventure will begin in the charming mountain town of Espot, from where we'll set out to explore the most iconic places of the national park. One of the first and undoubtedly most memorable stops will be the legendary Estany de Sant Maurici — a place where nature itself seems to have created a perfect picture, worthy of the brush of great artists. From here, a stunning view opens up to the picturesque lake, surrounded by majestic mountain peaks, like guardians protecting its tranquility. To the right of the lake rise the famous Els Encantats — impressive mountain peaks shrouded in mysterious legend, which we will certainly share with you on the spot, adding a touch of magic to our journey.

⛰ As we ascend, we'll reach one of the most impressive points of the entire route — the majestic Ratera waterfall, located at a dizzying height of more than 2700 meters above sea level. This moment will undoubtedly become the true culmination of our 12-kilometer hike, leaving an indelible impression in the soul of every traveler. The reward for all our efforts will be the unforgettable view opening from this height, and the indescribable feeling of complete unity with the majestic nature surrounding us from all sides.

Detailed plan:

Day 1.

• 07:30 — Meeting at Vivari cafe (Fabra y Puig). Car ride (about 4 hours)
• 11:00 — Arrival in Espot, breakfast, parking cars
• Start of the hike from the parking lot in Espot, past Lake Sant Maurici, to the Amitges refuge — one of the most beautiful in Aigüestortes. Dinner at the refuge. Overnight stay

Day 2.

• Wake up at 07:30, breakfast, enjoying the views around the refuge. 14-kilometer hike through lakes, forests, and viewpoints. Finish in La Peulla, taxi to Espot. We descend to the car and, filled with emotions, drive home.
